Yawing
The controller of the wind turbine will always make sure that the rotor is yawed up against the wind.
That means that the rotor is turned into the wind.

The wind vane on top of the nacelle tells the controller where the wind is coming from.
When the wind changes direction, the nacelle and the rotor follows.

The rotor should always be facing the wind in order to catch the wind properly.
